Kindergarten 2021-22

As you transition from Parents as Teachers and your preschool to your next school, we have some helpful information for you!


There are many simple things you can do to help prepare your child, and you’re probably already doing a lot of them. Having conversations with your child, writing shopping lists, counting out apples at the grocery store, reading together every day, having play dates and encouraging exploration will help lay the foundation for a lifelong successful school experience.

Do you qualify to receive a free book?


Great Beginnings Early Education Center Library and Parents as Teachers are partnering to provide the gift of a board book (Read to Me by Judi Moreillon) to each family under the umbrella of Great Beginnings services* to celebrate the birth or adoption of a new baby.

*Parents as Teachers, Head Start, Early Head Start, and those enrolled in Great Beginnings preschool - both the Legacy location as well as satellite classrooms.


To be eligible for your book, we ask that babies born or adopted on August 1, 2020. We ask that you request your book within three months from the birth or adoption of the baby.
