George School's Family Update

December 14, 2018

The George School Toy Drive to benefit Tomorrow's Children's Fund at Hackensack Hospital was a resounding success due to the incredible generosity of our George School families!

Thank you to Township of Washington Police Department for helping deliver the toys, (thanks to Detective Castronova for coordinating delivery) and thanks to the 5th Grade Peer Pals for loading up the toys! And a very special thanks to Alex Hammer (Kindergarten) and Mrs. Krista Hammer for organizing this wonderful event. So grateful to be part of such an amazingly generous community.

December has been coding month at George School. School. K-1 has played Robot Turtles board game and Scratch Jr. All other grades did Hour of Code. Ask your child how they coded their games. Having children learn coding at a young age prepares them for the future. Coding helps children with communication, creativity, math, writing, and confidence.
