Short Prayer for Protection During Hurricane Season
Our Father in Heaven,
through the intercession of Our Lady of Prompt Succor,
spare us during this hurricane season
from all harm.
Protect us and our homes
from all disasters of nature.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor,
hasten to help us.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

HELP WANTED FOR AFTERCARE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR
Immunization Requirements for School Entry and for Students Turning 11 Years of Age or entering 6th grade
Parents please be aware that the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals requires that students have a current immunization record or a letter of dissent from the parent/guardian on file for any child entering school. In addition, students who turn 11 years of age or those entering the 6th grade must receive an immunization against meningococcal disease before school begins. Please check with your health care provider to take care of these important immunization requirements before school starts.

Something Fun & Educational for the Kids to Research Over Sunmmer
Did you know that there was a National Marine Sanctuary near Louisiana and Texas? One hundred miles off the Texas and Louisiana coasts is the only sanctuary in the Gulf of Mexico. Located near the EPA Region 6 states is the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. This marine sanctuary is home to an ecosystem created by water from 31 states and Canada and flowing into the Gulf of Mexico.
Its deep water habitat includes salt domes, which are underwater mountains, and the reef-building corals that live on top of those formations. Those who visit for sportfishing and diving can see coral heads bigger than cars and a bounty of wildlife including whales, sea turtles, mollusks, crustaceans, birds, rays, and hundreds of species of fish. Below the coral cap in deeper water are additional species including gorgonians and black corals.
While the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary offers outstanding recreation, its distant location makes it a major center for research and conservation activities, many of which are supported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine Sanctuaries. You can learn more at https://sanctuaries.noaa.gov/.

Would you like to recognize your children for their success in school this year? Place a congratulatory ad for his/her promotion? Would you like to advertise your business in a place where over 500 parents can see it?
It’s easy to create a recognition ad. Just send us a copy of your favorite photo and compose your message. While you’re thinking of what your ad will look like, also think about the size of the ad space. Select a horizontal or vertical format in a variety of sizes and costs. Take a look at the examples in our brochure. You can do the same thing for a business ad.
Please click on this link for information about placing ads our yearbook this year. https://yearbookavenue.jostens.com/sell/ad/offers.html
You design your own ad, but it must be in good taste and appropriate for a Catholic elementary school. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Gay in the school office.

Pilgrin Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima
The Pilgrim Virgin statue of Our Lady of Fatima is coming to our archdiocese. A good schedule has been set. From July 10 to July 25, New Orleans will be graced with a visit from the famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima that travels the world. She was seen by Sr. Lucia, and then blessed by the Bishop of Fatima in 1947. She was commissioned as a Pilgrim Statue to travel the world!
Phillip Bellini asked Archbishop Aymond if we could bring Her down for this special year and he gave his heartfelt approval. She will be in Slidell on July 14 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
The schedule for the day at each parish will be published soon.
Please come! Bring your family and friends.
This is the national website: Fatimatourforpeace.com/the-statue and watch the special video. These parishes will be on the national website in a day or two.
God love and keep you safe this summer!
