OUR MISSION
In partnership with students, families, and the community, we at Woodland Springs, will provide a safe and positive learning environment. We will help each student to be successful, accepted, and empowered by creating a love of learning and building positive relationships that challenge, encourage, and respect our community of learners.

Valentine's Day
We are still going to to participate in the time-honored tradition of exchanging Valentines. However, it will look a little different this year. We are providing students with white paper sacks to be decorated at school instead of having students decorate and bring a sack/box from home. We are asking that all Valentines be brought to school no later than Monday, February 8. Students will have the opportunity to place cards in student sacks. Valentines will quarantine in student sacks for 3 days, and students will spend time at the end of the day on Thursday, February 11 opening cards from their classmates. If you are sending edible treats, they must be store bought and individually wrapped and able to be placed in student sacks. Please remember that this is not a party day but we will designate time at the end of the day to enjoy our Valentines. Treats will need to be enjoyed at home.
Remote teachers are working on creating a way for students to send Valentines to their classmates in a digital format. More information to come.

Free School Meals
Keller ISD’s Child Nutrition Services Department will continue to offer free meals to all students through the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.
The US Department of Agriculture has issued a nationwide waiver allowing Keller ISD and Sodexo, the District’s food services provider, the ability to serve free breakfasts and lunches to all students. Lunches will consist of protein, grain, fruit, and vegetable options.
Free meal service will continue on Asynchronous Learning Days (1/29, 2/26, 3/12, 4/16, 4/30), and can be picked up at Timber Creek High School.
A la carte Service
Child Nutrition has started offering a la carte purchases from the cafeteria. In order to manage our requests, each grade level will have a designated day as indicated below. Only one item will be available each week, but we won't know the item until the week of. For example, one week your child may purchase Doritos. The next week, they may purchase fruit roll ups. The next week, they may purchase ice cream. The item will change each week. The item will be brought to your child's classroom with their lunch. Your child must have money in their lunch account before purchasing an a la carte item. We are unable to accept cash or check at this time. If you need to add money to your child's account or set up a new account, use this link to access Child Nutrition Services.

Below are the traffic maps for our arrival/dismissal
We will have a staggered dismissal to allow for social distancing as students exit the building. Walkers will be dismissed through their hallway doors at 3:05. Busses will be called down one at a time beginning at 3:15. Then car riders will file out into the main hall at 3:25 while sitting 6 ft apart until their ride is called. We will NOT have Parent Walkup this year so we don't have groups of people gathering on campus. Please arrange a meet up point off campus prior to the first day of school. Also, siblings will have to meet up at a designated spot outside of the building.
