BEGINNERS clinic for anyone who is getting into Mountain Biking.
The session starts out in a controlled and non-intimidating environment where skills are introduced and practised. When you are comfortable with the new skills we move onto the trails to learn when to use those skills, and build your confidence in your ability to use them.
We will cover skills starting from bike control, braking, and riding over terrain even rougher than a Gatineau street. By lunch you’ll feel great knowing you can tackle the trails.

ADVANCED Skills Clinic: Perfecting the Bunny Hop- June 14

Requirements: Already have a couple of years riding a mountain bike. Building on the beginner skills. Getting into the more advanced trail system at Camp Fortune.
Skills clinic will focus on skills and techniques for successfully manoeuvring your mountain bike OVER barriers such as rocks, logs, off bridges and anything on the trail. We will work on wheel lifts, high speed cornering, ground pressure (flow), and line selection.

ADVANCED Skills Clinics: Hill Climbing - Aug 16
Requirements: Already have at least a season of riding a mountain bike. Building on the beginner skills. Getting into the more advanced trail system and climbs at Camp Fortune.
Skills clinic will focus on skills and techniques for successfully climbing small rises to longer steeper inclines on a mountain bike trail and descending a climb. We will work on wheel lifts, high speed cornering, ground pressure (flow), and line selection both up and down a trail.

Topics to be covered:
- How to fix a flat.
- How to pump a tire.
- How to fix a broken chain.
- How to make adjustments to your brakes and gears.
