Prayer for Healing

Thursday, June 11

4:00 p.m.

We are at a crossroads in our country and world. Yes, the death toll from COVID-19 surpassed 110,000 in the U.S. this week. And yes, thousands of people from around the globe are saying no more to the violence and killing of our black sisters and brothers; declaring we no longer take in the breath of hate and racism- we choose to inspire the breath of freedom and community and we stand together.

Therefore, we gather in prayer asking God’s love and grace to bless us in our efforts to dismantle internal and structural racism. Please join the Sisters of St. Joseph for their virtual prayer of healing. During this time, we will pray for the healing of our world, our communities, and our souls. The prayer can be found on Facebook or YouTube.

Hope, the Resurrection, and the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy with Scott Hahn

Scott Hahn, a theologian and founder of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, explains how the virtue of hope can help us understand the glory of Christ’s Resurrection, and encourage us to love the poor, serve the marginalized, and preach the Gospel. In Hahn’s new book, Hope to Die, he explores how pain and suffering unite us with the Cross of Christ and help us to live out the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. Listen to Podcast!
