CELL PHONE AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICES (WCDs)
Students are encouraged to not bring communication or electronic devices to school. The school will not take responsibility for communication/electronic devices that are lost or stolen and also may not conduct investigations regarding these items.
However, in order to maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, cell phones and WCDs must remain off and out of sight (not just placed into vibrate or silent mode) for the duration of the school day (including lunch/bathroom breaks/recess and passing time). The school day is defined as from 7:30 to 2:35 pm Monday-Friday. In order to create expectations that are simple for students, staff, and families, the school has created a very straightforward policy for all classrooms.
