A Message From Principal Choquette 11/16/18

Good afternoon, and a snowy one it is. This weather is a good time to remind all families to dress students in the appropriate clothing for the outdoors. Students are not allowed to play in the snow at recess unless they have snow pants and boots. If the school can be of assistance, please let us know. Also, if you could please help to remind your children about playground safety during the winter months. For as tempting as it is, snowball throwing is not allowed in order to keep all students safe and from getting hurt. Students can certainly build snow forts and snowmen, but please, no snow ball throwing.

Next week we have only 2 1/2 days of school. Students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Please make sure you let the school know if you have made different arrangements for your child to go home. Students will not be released a different way than their usual way without a phone call or a note.

Picture retake day has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 20th. You all should have received a robocall earlier in the week letting you know of this change.

As we head into the holiday season, let us be thoughtful of the many families in our community and school who find this time of year a difficult one. I would also ask that we all mindful of the different ways that people welcome and celebrate this season.

Next week is a time to reflect on what we are thankful for. I have many things to be thankful for in my life, and one of those many things are our students and our families. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Reminder!

Wednesday, November 21st is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m.

Also, please check your child’s backpacks for either a blue sheet or gold sheet, possibly both. We are still missing several publication and emergency forms. Without a signed publication form for the office, your child’s picture WILL NOT be in the class composite!
