Kinnaman 3D Printing Club Orders

The Kinnaman 3D club’s website is now live and accepting orders. Parents will be able to pick up orders on Thursdays from 3-4pm. All orders will be packaged and doled out by club members in front of the school. Please stop by and hang out if you’re free! Everything on the site was designed by 4th and 5th grade students and printed by me.

The site can be found at If you have the time and want see what we have been making, please check it out and share it with your class! New items will continue to be added weekly until school is over.

IMPORTANT: BSD Student Tech Devices (iPads, Chromebooks & Chargers) are Due at the End of this School Year!

All K-5 students will need to return their iPad (K-2) or Chromebook (3-5) AND CHARGERS at the end of this school year.

Hybrid students: You may bring your device and charger to turn in on the last day of school.

CDL students: You may return your device and charger on the last day of school between 1-3 PM.

All families will be notified of an alternate date and time to drop off devices and chargers during the week of June 21st.

If you will be moving before the end of the school year, please bring your child's device and charger to the front office before you leave.

Any family using a district issued hotspot will need to return the hotspot as soon as the school year ends.

Any student whose device is damaged should send an email to that includes the following information as soon as possible:

  • Name

  • Contact information (phone number)

  • School

  • Student ID

  • Description of the issue

Rent Assistance

Dear Kinnaman Families,

The Oregon eviction protections are set to expire at the end of June. This means renters will need to pay back rent that's still due. The state started taking applications yesterday for additional rental assistance through the Oregon Emergency Rent Assistance Program. People are eligible if at least one person in the household had a financial impact from the pandemic (a lost job, decrease in income), and their household income is at or below 80% of the area's median income (about $77,000 for a family of 4 in the Portland metro area, or $51,000 in rural communities).

Tenants can be approved for up to 12 months of past-due rent, and three months' upcoming rent. The payments will go directly to landlords, property owners, and utility companies.

The money will be allocated based on need, so everyone who applies for the program will go through a review process.

Assistance is offered to all renters, regardless of citizenship or immigration status.

Progress Reports

This progress report will not reflect end-of-year proficiency grading and will not have 1-4 proficiency marks.

Each section, with the exceptions of the Behavior, Language and Speaking & Listening sections, will indicate which targets have been taught during the semester and a mark reflecting the student’s learning progress, according to the evidence gathered. Evidence (both oral and written) can be gathered from assignments, formative assessments, and in whole group and small group settings (discussions and activities).

Teachers will indicate which targets have been taught in the various subject areas with “CDL” or “X”.

Teachers also will indicate Evidence of Learning Progress (growth). This section reflects the student’s learning progress toward grade-level targets according to evidence gathered.

Determining a student’s learning progress is based on their growth from the beginning of the year in each subject area. This mark doesn’t translate to a 1-4 proficiency grading scale. It’s solely based on evidence of growth.

Evidence of Learning Progress (Growth) Key During CDL

The Evidence of Learning Progress Indicator reflects the student’s learning progress towards grade-level targets according to evidence gathered during CDL. The evidence (both oral and written) can be gathered from assignments, formative assessments, and in whole group and small group settings (discussions and activities).

++ → Significant Growth - Student is making significant progress according to evidence gathered.

+ → Growth - Student is making progress according to evidence gathered.

ie → Insufficient Evidence - There is not enough or no evidence to determine progress or the evidence provided does not show progress.
