Dancing With the Stars of the Burg and HAT DAY...
On Wednesday, November 13th we will have a DANCING WITH THE STARS Hat Day. Students may pay $1.00 to wear a hat for the day and the proceeds will be donated to support our superintendent, Dr. Oskar Scheikl, who will be participating in DANCING WITH THE STARS OF THE BURG. This is a fundraiser that supports the Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center. This center provides licensed care to children (age two and older) regardless of the families' financial resources, race, or religious affiliation.
Toys for the Holidays...
This year PKVES is having a toy drive and asking families to donate NEW, UNWRAPPED toys for elementary age students. The toys will be distributed to families in our school community first and the remaining items will be donated to the Salvation Army. The drive will run from 10/28-11/15. We need toys for the following age/grade level:
Kindergarten/1st Grade - 4-6 years old
2nd Grade/3rd Grade - 7-8 years old
4th Grade/5th Grade - 9-10 years old
We would LOVE to fill the stage with toys and will have a movie and popcorn day if we meet this goal.
If you would like more information about the Toy Drive contact the school counselor, Ry Wilson at 540-289-7510.
