Principal's Message

Greetings Carver MS,

Thank you all very much for an awesome week. Your early support of the Spring fundraiser has been tremendous! Many parents have allowed their students to sell candy bars for the school and the support is appreciated. Our target is to sell 208 boxes of candy. We still have plenty of boxes remaining and we hope that your student participates in the candy sale. The permission slip is included in the link below and students may also pick them up from the main office.

Thank you very much for your support of the Honor Roll Assembly! Congratulations to over nearly 200 families who were able to celebrate with us last Thursday. We hope to work together to double that number on April 30 for our 3rd nine weeks Honor Roll Assembly.

Carver Middle School needs and appreciates parental support. We hope that you are able to join us tomorrow for our PTA meeting at 6 pm in the library.

Thank you very much and have a great week Carver MS!

Message from Nurse Natalie

Seasonal Flu is wide-spread in VA. Please remember students should not be in school if they have a temperature of 100 F or greater. Please keep your child home until the fever is gone for 24 hours without medication. During influenza season, children with a fever and other flu-like symptoms may be asked to stay home longer. Fever may be a sign of a more serious problem. Seek medical advice for fever lasting longer than 3 days.

The best protection against the Flu is good hand hygiene, it is not too late to get a flu shot if you have not already, avoid contact with sick people and stay home when you have a fever or feel ill.

Thank you for continuing to follow CCPS Sick Day guidelines.

Wishing you a happy and Healthy week.

Carver Recycles!

Please join us in collecting plastic grocery store bags to benefit Carver MS. Our goal is to collect 500 lbs. of bags in order to earn a bench for our school. Please feel free to donate in the collection box in the Carver MS lobby.

Carver Middle School is looking to launch our own WATCH D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) organization. This organization will be comprised of dads, grandfathers, uncles, big brothers, and any other male role models in the lives of our students. We want our WATCH D.O.G.S. to volunteer their time in our school to better enhance the learning experience for all of our students, teachers, and staff. We will take any time you have to be in our building and be an additional presence of support for our school. If you are interested, please reach out to Dr. McLaurin at or at 804-524-3620.
