Growing with God... May 20, 2022
Dear St. Michael Preschool Families,
“Children are a gift from the Lord, they are a reward from Him.” Psalm 127:3
It is hard to believe our last week of school is here! The teachers and I are so very proud of how much your children have learned and grown this year. Thank you for partnering with us to make your child's experience so rewarding and successful.
For our families graduating or moving on, we will miss you very much, and we wish you every blessing. For our returning families, we look forward to seeing those smiling faces back in August for another joyful year of “Growing with God." We wish you all a safe, healthy, and fun-filled summer! Thank you, and may God bless you always.
In Christ,
Lisa Ciesla, Director

PRESCHOOL HAPPENINGS
LOVING PRAYERS & GOODBYE WISHES TO MISS MICHELE!
WE LOVE YOU MISS MICHELE!
Dear St. Michael Preschool Community,
Please join us in thanking Miss Michele for 10 amazing years of dedicated service to St. Michael Preschool. During that time, she has been a preschool parent, volunteer, substitute, assistant teacher, lead teacher, and administrative assistant extraordinaire!
Michele shared that this decision did not come easily and only after great prayerful discernment has she decided that it is time to "graduate" from the preschool. She and her family are excited about what new adventures lay ahead!
We all know Michele as the sweet, welcoming face of our preschool, and it goes without saying that she has been an integral part of who and what makes St. Michael Preschool so special. Regardless of how long you have been blessed to know Miss Michele, we are certain she has had a positive impact on your family's life. She is such an incredible person; one of pure heart and great faith. Like so many of you, we feel blessed to have had the opportunity to pray, play, and learn alongside Michele. And, we know we speak for all of us when we say, "Michele, thank you for being you! You will be deeply missed! May God bless you and your family always with abundant joy!"
Joyfully in Christ,
Lisa Ciesla and the St. Michael Preschool Teaching Family

DID YOU KNOW ABOUT DISCOVERY DAY?
SUPER FUN ADD-ON PROGRAM ON FRIDAYS
If your child just can’t get enough preschool fun, and loves to learn, explore, and experience all preschool has to offer, Discovery Day is the program for them!
Discovery Days are thematic-based units designed to reinforce your child’s love of learning. We encourage students to wonder, explore, problem-solve, and most of all, have fun! The thematic activities will focus on literacy, art, religion, music, math, and science. Teachers will provide an outline of each class including concepts, vocabulary, and discussion questions so there can be a carryover from school to home.
The program runs from October through May and is open to children ages 3-5. If seats still remain in January, children in the 2's program may enroll.
FIELD DAY FUN!
LIFE CYCLE OF THE BUTTERFLY
God's creatures are amazing! We have been learning about the life cycle of the butterfly and observing the 4 stages of metamorphosis. We are all hoping to see some emerge from their chrysalis before the last day of school!

FAMILY FUN
MUSIC & MOVEMENT W/MISS KAREN
Hello families!
Music class is all abuzz at this time of the year! We are beginning to practice our end-of-year programs (which we will perform in person in May). The children are really excited about singing for all of you! You just might hear about some of the songs, but we are doing our best to keep them a surprise!
We are also singing about spring, flowers, frogs, farms, and Humpty Dumpty! We will be using the parachute with spring flowers and egg shakers for Easter! Our Clifford Class will begin a space unit and we will be going for a Rocketship Run!
Here are a few selections that we will be enjoying this month:
It's Gonna Rain using egg shakers
I look forward to seeing all of you in person for our end-of-year performances next Month!
God bless you and your families,
Ms. Karen
Our next StoryWalk will run 5/20 - 6/6 at Carpenter Park, featuring the book, "All Along the River" by Magnus Weightman.
This meaningful family experience was organized by our very own St. Michael Preschool mom, Caroline Laski. Thank you, Caroline, for all your enthusiastic efforts to bring this wonderful activity to our community!
“The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.”
