In accordance with restart guidelines established by the Crestwood Schools, Crestwood Intermediate School is developing a Restart plan and procedures for the 2021-22 school year to ensure student and staff health and safety.
- All procedures are subject to change as health alerts and the health of students and staff change.
- We will be implementing numerous protocols to how students arrive, how they move through the building, where they will eat, and more, all in an effort to provide as much physical distance as possible.
- This plan may be updated and is subject to change.

Important Takeaways:
Face Coverings: Face coverings are optional when in any school district building. Masks are required when riding any school bus or transportation. Disposable face coverings will be available in the main office.
Attendance: Each parent MUST complete the before-school health screening checklist prior to leaving home for the day. ALL parents will be required to contact the Attendance Line if their child will be absent.
Illness: This year, more than ever, it is important that students who are sick, have a fever, or do not feel well do NOT come to school. Those students who become ill during the in-person school day will be sent to the clinic and parents will be asked to pick their child up from school in a timely fashion. There will be a designated quarantined space for those students exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

THE CIS EXPERIENCE - EXCITING NEWS - 6th Grade Camp
Sixth graders at Crestwood Intermediate School are being offered an opportunity to participate in an outdoor education adventure in a camp atmosphere at Hiram House Camp in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. We will be camping for 3 days/2 nights between May 18th to May 20th, 2022.
Since we are renting the facilities, there will be a student cost for the experience. We are working on the final price as there has been some changes that could adjust the final total. We will have the final amount by next week at open house. Sorry for that inconvenience. Payments may be made in installments. We are encouraging all parents to begin paying early for camp.
Students need to have their work and their behavior in good order. While at camp, all students will be expected to follow camp rules. Students will be staying in cabins. The children will be under the supervision of teachers, directors, and camp counselors. The camp staff will prepare well-balanced meals.
If you have questions about payments or other areas of concern please contact Mr. Griffis or the main office. We will be creating and providing a packet for sixth grade parents and students for this wonderful opportunity. This packet will include permission trip, packing list and other important information. This will be available during our open house and also sent out via email and hard copy with 6th grade students.
We are looking forward to a wonderful camping experience and an enjoyable learning opportunity for our students.
Free and Reduced Lunch
Reasons to Apply for Free-or-Reduced School Meals:
- Did you know that filling out a free-or-reduced price school meal application each year can benefit not only your family but also your children’s schools?
- Possible waiving of or reduced school and activity fees
- The more applications your school gathers at the start of each school year, the more additional funding they can receive for all kinds of programs that help children, families, teachers, administrators—everyone!
