Gould's Gossip
KEEP CALM and go to the LIBRARY
Schedule Changes!
I am happy to announce that I will now be at the 6-12 building ALL DAY every Monday and Wednesday. I will continue to be available through lunch every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. My goal this year is to be involved in every classroom, please help me out by letting me know what you are doing in your classes. I may have a tip, trick or new program that can help you out!
Whats happening in the library??
Stools are here!
The stools have arrived and the countertop will be going in soon! (Thanks to Mr. Krueger and his students) This will provide another great spot for students to work. Also, remember that I have iMacs for students to create both audio and video productions. Just send them down and I can show them how!
6th graders as movie stars!
My 6th grade, Going Google class, has been hard at work creating their script for an informational video on some aspect of our school. From locker organization to tours of the school, their goal is to help next years incoming 6th graders not be so nervous about coming to the middle school. Students may be in the halls recording at various times of the day. They are expected to be quite and respectful, if they are causing problems please let me know!
Teacher Resource Room??
I have been thinking about turning part of my back room into a resource room for teachers. I am hoping it would be a good place for teachers to gather and collaborate, help each other or just get out of their classroom and work in a different environement for awhile. I would also be able to pop in and help you with technology or the Educator Effectiveness process.
What are your thoughts?? Is this something you would use? Please drop me a quick email and let me know!
Chrome Web Store
Take a minute to check out the Chrome Web Store at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/app/8-education Here you will find links to all sorts of games, tools and other resources that both you and your students can use in your classroom. The nice thing about all of these resources is that they can be linked directly to your (or your students) Gmail accounts. For example, if you have students use Typing Club they can sign in with their Gmail account and their progress will automatically be saved and be able to be accessed later. Want to learn more?? Just let me know and I will be happy to stop in sometime and give you a quick rundown on how it works!
