NBES in the News......
We believe in Students exceeding our expectations!
Our week in review......
NBES proved its might this week with an incredible week of learning. In third grade, students listened to the Beverly Cleary book "Socks", rounded numbers to the nearest hundred, and worked on revising their stories. In fourth grade, identifying theme was the name of the game, practicing their math facts, and celebrating positive returns on their hard work with scores to prove it. In fifth grade, students showcased their math skills with powers of 10, read to themselves, and learned strategies for go back to the text and rereading. In sixth grade students focused on finishing up stories, dove into their text, solved quick cooperative multiplication problems, and brainstormed odd and even number traits. In second grade, the students showcased their "All about me" posters, created animals out of math counting manipulatives, and worked on phonics. First grade celebrated a teacher having a birthday, picture walking stories as they learn to read, strategized using "Lips the Fish", and learned about an American icon, Benjamin Franklin. Our Kindergarteners gained momentum by building their stamina to 7 minutes of reading to themselves and enjoyed writing in their journals. Great job learning NBES you deserve to have a wonderful Fall Weekend!!!
