August 20 and August 21 will follow this schedule. Each session is about 90 minutes in length with the following exceptions: Performance Matters Unify training, the new coaches session and the elementary math curriculum day make up session. These are all 3 hours.

Ensuring Sheltered Instruction for ELs in All Content-Areas Burnet, Room 33
English Learners require instruction that supports mastery of grade-level content and the development of academic language. This begins with a plan for sheltering instruction based on the ELPS and an EL's proficiency (PLDs) in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Participants in this session will leave with an understanding of sheltered instruction through modeling and discussion as well as a robust understanding of the ELPS and PLDs.

Coaches will develop skills in order to have deeper, targeted conversations around student achievement and growth. Participants will work closely in discussion, role-play, problem solving, and dig into coaching resources and strategies.
Please bring your copy of Diane Sweeney's " Student Centered Coaching: The Moves". If you are a new coach and do not have a copy, one will be given to you.
