Science and Engineering Fair
Everything you need to know.
Checklist
- Attend info night (Monday, Dec. 5 @ 5:30 p.m.) or log-in to your child's STEM course in Canvas to view the Science Fair Informational Powerpoint and other helpful resources.
- Help your child to decide on a project idea. You can attend a family help session on December 11th at 4:00 p.m. to discuss ideas with others, use our school library, and ask questions of Mrs. Benson.
- Turn in the Participation Proposal form to Mrs. Benson, your child's teacher, or the the front office by Friday, December 16th.
- Until January 24th - Work on the project at home.
- Monday, January 9th - There will be another help session for questions and planning.
- January 25th - Drop off project after school.
- January 26th - Talk with the judges during the school day on and come that evening to share your work with the Boone Meadow Community (evening attendance not required).
- January 27th - Take your project home.

Visit STEM in Canvas
Each child has a STEM course as a part of their Canvas account. All the pertinent Science and Engineering Fair information can be found there! It is a one-stop shop for dates, how-to information, forms, science fair idea generating websites, Science Fair storybooks, and more! To access Canvas, follow these steps:
- Go to the ZCS Portal here or by clicking the link at the ZCS Homepage.
- Log-in using your child's student information (Username is first-last and password is lunch code. (Just like kids did for the e-day in October. Your child's teacher sent that information back then.)
- Click the Canvas tile.
- Find the STEM course on your child's dashboard or in the courses menu.
- The Science and Engineering Fair module should be easy to find.
