Masks and Social Distancing:
Students in grades PK-12 will wear face coverings on buses, hallways, common areas, and when 6 feet of social distancing is not feasible, including in classrooms, to the extent it is developmentally appropriate. All employees will also wear face coverings. We will continue to evaluate the need for face coverings in the school setting as more guidance becomes available.
Recess:
At Grand Oaks, we value the importance of students having the opportunity to play outside and get fresh air. To ensure we maintain a safe outdoor environment, we will have structured zones where students can take masks off with social distancing and unstructured zones where students will be encouraged to wear their masks.
Deliveries:
Drop Off
No lunches will be accepted as they have been in the past. Students will have the opportunity to eat in the cafeteria if they leave their lunch at home. Only critical items for learning such as glasses or hearing aids will be allowed to be dropped off.
Birthday Treats
We will not allow birthday treats to be brought to school until further notice to minimize exposure. We will continue to recognize and celebrate birthdays at Call to Excellence school wide and in the classrooms. Summer birthdays will be celebrated at the student's half-birthday.
On Campus Visitors/Volunteers and Drop Off
In order to limit adult exposure to Covid-19, on campus visitors and volunteers are not allowed this semester. Please plan to drop students off at the front entrance. Staff will be available to assist if needed.
GREAT EXPECTATIONS
