EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION

PAGES 28-29 Herzl and Achad Ha'am

During this part of lesson 4, the students are asked to show their learning by reading through different statements / positions and based on what they learned about Herzl and Ahad Ha-am, to decide who help that position.


Using SMART NOTEBOOK, the students are invited to read the statements, decide on who held that position, and by clicking and turning the tile, finding out the correct answer.

PAGE 29 - DRAWING A PICTURE LEZECHER YERUSHALAYIM

The students are asked to draw a picture for their room "Lezecher Yerushalayim".


There are many ways to integrate technology into this assignment.

One is to use a whiteboard space on line with drawing tools, allowing for a digital footprint that can be shared in different ways. One such a site is called Artpad (http://artpad.art.com/artpad/painter/) where a blank space with art tools is allocated to each student to create his/ her artwork.
Another suggestion is to collaborate to create this artwork. Again, many web 2.0 applications exist for this purpose. One recommendation is scribblar (http://www.scribblar.com/) where an online real time collaboration can occur using a whiteboard space with art tools.
