Resources to Fight Bullying and Harassment at School
This article has links to lesson plans to educate and combat bullying, and empower students. Great resources for gaining ideas on dialogue to have with your students, and lessons to support them. Also an insightful video clip about data from adults who were bullied as children. This article does a great job of supporting the presentation from this morning, and the discussion we all had as a staff on creating classroom dialogues and having it be an on-going thing.http://www.edutopia.org/article/bullying-prevention-resources

This is the video I shared with many of you during our grade level tech training. As we start with Chrome books thought you would like to have this resource.
The Great Shake Up - Earth Quake Drill Oct 15 at 10:15
At 10:15 a.m. on October 15, 2015, millions of people will “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” in The Great Central U.S. ShakeOut, the region’s largest earthquake drill ever! All K-12 schools and districts are encouraged to participate in the drill (or plan a more extensive exercise).
Major earthquakes may happen anywhere you live, work, or travel. The ShakeOut is our chance to practice how to protect ourselves, and for everyone to become prepared. The goal is to prevent a major earthquake from becoming a catastrophe for you, your organization, and your community.
Why is a “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” drill important? To respond quickly you must practice often. You may only have seconds to protect yourself in an earthquake before strong shaking knocks you down, or something falls on you.
