Resources for Students' and Parents' Mental Health

Big picture

Welcome to the Counselor's Corner

I wanted to create a one-stop-shop for resources to care for your mental health during distance learning. This is new for students, parents, and teachers alike, and sometimes learning new things can be challenging. That's ok! We're all in this together and we'll learn as we go. Take a look around and feel free to email me with any requests for more specific information. You can find my contact information at the bottom of this page. Enjoy!

Video Explanation of Anxiety

Below, you'll find a video giving a brief psycho-educational explanation of Generalized Anxiety Disorder. This video is meant to help parents and students have a better understanding of anxiety, and should not be used to make any sort of diagnosis.

Please keep in mind when viewing this video, that experiencing anxiety in response to a stressor is NORMAL. A pandemic is a huge stressor, and if your child is experiencing anxiety in response to all of the changes caused by this pandemic, that is a normal, and reasonable response to have. It does not mean that your child has Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
