Ball Park Newsletter - #5

September 28 - October 2

Principal's Message

Dear Jackie Robinson K- 8 Community,

Let's get ready to say goodbye to September and hello to October. Know that your flexibility and support the first four weeks of school has been greatly appreciated. Students, parents and the Robinson staff have been committed to distance learning and I THANK YOU for that.

As we begin to settle in, know that some necessary adjustments to teaching practices and schedules will be considered and made to ensure that distance learning remains effective and sustainable. I will address this topic with parents during my Principal Zoom meeting this Thursday, October 1st @ 3:30pm. The Zoom link will be emailed to parents Thursday.

During my Principal Zoom Meetings, I will begin to also invite different staff members for you to say hello to and hear what they are doing during distance learning to help support our school efforts. Joining us this Thursday will be some of our Office Staff.

Help me in congratulating the following members that will represent parents on our School Site Council during the 2020-2021 school year.

1. Mr. Jessie Comer

2. Ms. Laverne Mayfield

3. Ms. Sandra Santoyo

4. Ms. Jakeisha Jenkins

A reminder that this is a two year commitment and they help join Ms. Eva Cardenas as she begins her second year as a parent representative.

A reminder that our first School Site Council meeting will take place this Tuesday, September 29, at 2:30pm. The Zoom link will be send to families that day. Here is the agenda link:

Be well and please make your best effort to remain connected with us during distance learning!

With appreciation for all your continued support,

Salvador Madrigal

Salvador Madrigal
