The Patriot Way
August 28, 2022 Vol. 4
Another great week is wrapped up as we open up a fresh week tomorrow. There is much to brag about as always. As we enter the 3rd Week of the first grading period, classes have been able to get a great feel for the expectations and procedures. Continue to keep up with Harmony and Assignment Summaries so that if there is a need to reach out to a teacher, we can do so early in the 9-week grading period. If a parent or student needs assistance in navigating Harmony Family Access, please contact a SHS staff member as there is a difference between a student login access code and a parent access code.
Let's look at the past week here at Seeger High School!

Great job, Mrs. Davis!
Coach Hearn's Archery Practice
Coach Hearn took her PE classes outside to work skills with long bows this week. Providing experiences like this help students appreciate the patience, skill, and dexterity that go into different sports.
Bearing thoughts of The Hunger Games, Parker Bryant volunteered as tribute in demonstrating his unconventional form before he hits a bullseye.
Disc Golf @ Seeger High School
This is a great opportunity for kids to gain exposure to the growing-in-popularity sport playable by nearly all people of all ages. There are local "courses", free of charge, located in parks of Covington, The Falls in Williamsport, and in Attica.
We are hoping this will encourage students and their families to explore the sport together and check out the great trails of The Falls in Williamsport that are lined with the disc baskets!
Thank you PE teachers, Warren County Community Foundation, and Mr. Hansen for making this opportunity possible for our Warren County families.

Message from Mrs. Smiley:
Seeger Students will have the opportunity to participate in a 2 week exchange this school year with our partner school in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Seeger High School will have 17 Germans coming to Warren County on October 10th and staying for around 8 days.
We are looking for host families who have a Seeger student. You take care of the German while they are here as though they are a member of your family, and provide a bed for them.
They will attend school and we will have numerous group activities and excursions planned. You will make a new friend for life and have a connection in Germany! They are most excited about experiencing everyday
American teenager life. The only cost involved is feeding your German when they are in your home or with your family. They will have their own spending money.
Mrs. Smiley will also be taking students to Germany for the two weeks of Spring Break 2023. We will stay in the homes of the Germans who visit Warren County this October. We will attend their school, visit castles, live every-day German life, and do some travelling before heading home. Cost is still being determined for this trip, but may be around $2000 for two weeks in Germany- which is a great deal!
