Strategic Plan Community Feedback Requested!


The Town has entered into its next phase of the Strategic Planning project. After the first round of community feedback, the Board of Selectmen have drafted Strategic Outcome Areas and are looking for feedback from the community on each area! These areas can be viewed below and feedback can be provided at GetInvolvedShrewsbury.com!


Community Feedback Sessions are scheduled throughout the Months of July and August over a 4 week period. These dates, times, and locations are:


Virtual Meetings:

  • Virtual Meeting on Thursday July 21, 2022 at 7:00 PM EST - Register in advance for this meeting HERE. Please note that registration is MANDATORY for the virtual meetings in order to properly manage the features of the meeting, but your information will not be shared/or used again by the Town. Once an individual is registered, the email they provided will receive an invite with details on how to join the meeting.
  • Virtual Meeting Tuesday July 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM EST - Register in advance for this meeting HERE. Please note that registration is MANDATORY for the virtual meetings in order to properly manage the features of the meeting, but your information will not be shared/or used again by the Town.   • Virtual Meeting on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 9:00 AM - Register in advance for this meeting HERE.   • In Person at the Food Trucks, Town hall, Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, come drop by at any time!
  • In Person at National Night Out, Town hall, Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, come drop by at any time!

DEI Update

The Board of Selectmen has continued having workshops with their DEI Consultant, VISIONS Inc, and continued their training and work on matters of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Town.

Summer Hours Operating Schedule for Town Hall

On May 31, 2022 Town Hall implemented 2022 Summer Hours. The only changes for the members of the public are to Tuesday's and Friday’s hours. Town Hall will now be open from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM on Tuesdays to better accommodate the public with expanded hours. Town Hall will also be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) on Fridays. There are no other changes to Town Hall’s operating hours (listed below).


Monday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

*Building Inspector, DPW, & SELCO Open at 7:30 AM


Town employees will still be working a full work week with these changes and will be available throughout the designated operating hours.


Please note that these operating hour changes do not affect the School Department, the Library, or the Council on Aging.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

On May 20, 2022 the Shrewsbury Board of Health issued a mask advisory due to a surge in positive COVID-19 cases. The full advisory can be found here. For information regarding masks and face coverings, please refer to CDC guidance linked here. The Shrewsbury Board of Health order to require employers to report COVID-19 cases in the workplace will remain in place until further notice.
