Strategic Plan Community Feedback Requested!
The Town has entered into its next phase of the Strategic Planning project. After the first round of community feedback, the Board of Selectmen have drafted Strategic Outcome Areas and are looking for feedback from the community on each area! These areas can be viewed below and feedback can be provided at GetInvolvedShrewsbury.com!
Community Feedback Sessions are scheduled throughout the Months of July and August over a 4 week period. These dates, times, and locations are:
Virtual Meetings:

Town Department Reorganiza-tion Mr. Mizikar summarized the changes - highlighting that they were focused in the organization of the Department of Public Works and the purview of the Assistant Town Manager of Community Development and Human Services. Board of Selectmen June 26, 2022 Meeting Highlights
Policy 28 - Appointment Policy Amendments Adopted The Board of Selectmen amended their operational policy #28 related to Appointments to Municipal Boards, Committees, Commissions, and Ad Hoc Committees. Mr. Samia noted that they streamlined the policy, added posting of all positions that expire to increases awareness of the positions that are out there and allow individuals to express interest and the Board would have the names of interested individuals going forward. The amended Policy can be found HERE. | Select Board Name Change Special Act Filed with the General Court The Board of Selectmen voted to file the Select Board Name Change Special Act with the General Court. This was the next step in the process for the formal name change from Board of Selectmen to Select Board after the May 2022 Annual Town Meeting voted. | 409 South Street 55+ 40B Housing Development Agreement Approved The Board of Selectmen voted to approve the 409 South Street 55+ 40B Housing Development Agreement. Ms. Kristen Las - Assistant Town Manager of Community Development and Human Services, summarized the agenda item and the Board's previous interactions with Greystar. The development agreement allows the Board to have a little more control in the process. Various town staff have participated in negotiations with Greystar to create this development agreement. DEI Update
Summer Hours Operating Schedule for Town Hall
On May 31, 2022 Town Hall implemented 2022 Summer Hours. The only changes for the members of the public are to Tuesday's and Friday’s hours. Town Hall will now be open from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM on Tuesdays to better accommodate the public with expanded hours. Town Hall will also be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) on Fridays. There are no other changes to Town Hall’s operating hours (listed below).
Monday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
*Building Inspector, DPW, & SELCO Open at 7:30 AM
Town employees will still be working a full work week with these changes and will be available throughout the designated operating hours.
Please note that these operating hour changes do not affect the School Department, the Library, or the Council on Aging.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information
On May 20, 2022 the Shrewsbury Board of Health issued a mask advisory due to a surge in positive COVID-19 cases. The full advisory can be found here. For information regarding masks and face coverings, please refer to CDC guidance linked here. The Shrewsbury Board of Health order to require employers to report COVID-19 cases in the workplace will remain in place until further notice.
