On behalf of Monterey Bay CUE (MBCUE), a regional affiliate of the non-profit organization CUE, we are sharing two upcoming events that may be of interest to you and your colleagues:


  • MBCUE's Second Student Powered Film Festival on April 23, 2019
  • DigCit Summit Cali on May 18, 2019.

Salinas, CA

On April 23, 2019, the conservation themed Student Powered Film festival will take place at Maya Cinema in downtown Salinas. The Festival is a film competition open to K-12 students in the counties of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz. The Festival is divided into three competition age ranges with corresponding limits on film length: K-5 (3 minutes maximum), 6-8 (4 minutes maximum), and 9-12 (5 minutes maximum). 🖥Digital Citizenship Summit Cali: Monterey County

The DigCit Summit is a gathering of digital citizenship enthusiasts and influencers from around Northern California. The Summit’s goal is to build connections among critical stakeholders, namely students, educators, and parents. During the day, we aim to work towards solutions, promoting best practices, and empowering citizens to be the digital change. We will have sessions from covering curriculum like Common Sense Media for educators to family sessions on developing technology plans.
