Word of the Month: COURAGE
Throughout the month of August we will be focusing on the word, COURAGE.
We will be reading Worry Says What? by Allison Edwards.
It takes courage to come back to school, after being away for so long. And it takes courage to start a new school, or to start in a new classroom with new friends - but we know YOU CAN DO IT!
Morning Drop-Off
Morning Drop Off: PLEASE MERGE WITH KINDNESS
If you enter the lot from East Main by the gym, you cannot block traffic waiting to turn right. You will need to proceed to Bellamy Street and enter at the marquee. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Enter the parking lot by the marquee and turn right around the playground, PLEASE FILL ALL THREE LANES.
If you are entering from East Main, you can turn right to enter by the gym, only if it does not block traffic on East Main.
Students can be dropped off at the front of the building. Please pull up as far as possible and have your child exit the passenger side of the car.
Doors will be unlocked at 7:30 a.m.
- Students will be eating breakfast in the classroom.
Kindergarten students arriving before 7:50 will go to the library.
First-Fourth grade students will go to their classrooms at 7:30 and begin eating breakfast and getting ready for the day.

Afternoon Dismissal
Car Riders- PLEASE MERGE WITH KINDNESS
If you plan to turn onto BELLAMY your child will be a FRONT car rider.
If you plan to turn left onto EAST MAIN to exit the parking lot, your child will need to be a GYM car rider.
There are three car rider lanes as you turn into the parking lot from Bellamy. The inner two lanes are for FRONT car riders. The lanes will merge to form one line in front of the building. The outside lane is for GYM car riders.
We will have students in the building to provide social distancing. Please be patient with us!
Please have your car rider pickup tag on your dashboard as you enter the parking lot. If a person tries to pick up a child without the appropriate pick up tag, they will be asked to park and present a driver’s license to confirm with student information in our database.
Changing Transportation
** Please call the office before 2:30 p.m. for any pick up changes.
**We will not allow a student to change transportation unless a phone call is made to the office, not an email, message or note to the teacher.
RED WHITE AND BLUE DAY

Eastside Elementary School, Bellamy Street, Cabot, AR, USA
Mask Reminders
We ask students and adults to wear masks while traveling around the school or classroom. They do have the opportunity to take them off when sitting at their desk or safe area.
Students are asked to take masks to the playground. They are told to take them off if they are running and a safe distance from others. However, if they want to talk to friends and be a little closer than six feet, they can pull up their masks to play.
We are working to teach them respect and responsibility with the new 'life skill' of masks. We appreciate your support and encouragement to your child.
New Eastside Lobby Information
-You must wear a mask to enter the building.
-Please wait within the foyer and CALL the school (501-743-3563) - and the ladies in the office will help you with whatever you need.
Thank you for helping to keep us all healthy and safe!
Chromebooks Here, Chromebooks There, We Have Chromebooks Everywhere!!
Please make sure your child brings the chromebook to school daily; and please make sure it has been charged at home the night before.
If your student has any technical issues with their chromebooks, please let your child's teacher know, and we will work to get it fixed, ASAP!
If you picked up a chromebook in the spring to support AMI, please return it and the charger to your classroom teacher as soon as you can.

Cabot Panther Students, Parents/Guardians, Teachers, and Staff,
Cabot Public Schools is committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for all of our students. We understand parents have many questions regarding the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. This correspondence is to provide you with as much information as we can at this time to help alleviate some of your concerns.
Cabot Public Schools will follow the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) guidelines and the “Arkansas Ready for Learning” plan issued by the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for reopening in the fall. We have also established multiple working committees comprised of administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents, and community leaders to help develop reopening plans based on guidance from public health officials and state agencies.
The district will offer three learning options for the 2020-2021 school year. Traditional (In-Classroom Five Days a Week) Blending Learning, Cabot Panther Digital Academy (All Online), and our Conversion Charter School the Academic Center of Excellence (ACE and ACE North).
Even though classes may look different this fall, please know Cabot Public Schools is working to create the safest educational environment possible. We will continue to work with the ADH and DESE to ensure the district is “Ready for Learning.”
Later this summer, as state directives for the fall become clearer and our plans are further developed, we will share more information with our Panther families. In the meantime, this document will continue to be updated with the latest information and can be found on our district website in the yellow announcement box titled: Roadmap to Reopening.
While we continue to work through the details, we hope the http://www.cabotschools.org/roadmap-to-reopening/frequently-asked-questions (FAQs) section below will address some of your concerns. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please feel free to email: covid19questions@cabotschools.org. If you would like someone to call you back, please include your name, your student’s name, and your phone number in the email and a district employee will contact you as soon as possible to help answer your questions.
Again, thank you for your continued patience and support as we work together to navigate this new educational roadmap.
