Hermes steal Apollo's cows as a todler
When Hermes was born of Maia and Zeus he was put into a cradle. When Maia was asleep he jumped out and and stole some of Apollo's cows. Along with that he killed a tortoise. Using string he had made from the cow he sacrificed and the tortoise shell a lyre. Then Apollo became mad and found him. To apologize he gave Apollo his Lyre. (Hansen)
