So in other words, will our words and actions help other grow? A goal could be to work to help all (this even includes yourself) improve in our skills and abilities. We want our words and actions to benefit all concerned in order to raise the level of consciousness, feelings of empathy toward others and feelings of self-worth within ourselves and others.

THANKFUL FOR THEIR SERVICE

On Thursday, it was such an honor to recognize our local veterans and remember their great deeds. These are the individuals who unselfishly placed their lives on the line for our freedom. These men and women were ordinary people… until they heard the call of duty and answered it. They left their families … their homes … and their lives … not for recognition or fame, but to protect our country and to maintain our way of life.

I am thankful for the veterans that are part of the Warrior family and now call Bonham ISD home.

I was especially honored to get to spend some time honoring my Dad - a Vietnam War Army Veteran. I was surprised when he mentioned this being the first recognition ceremony he has attended and I am glad he is looking forward to another one next year.

Many thanks to BHS campus administration, staff and students for giving the veterans a day to be honored.

BHS HALL OF HONOR

This space was dedicated at 11:00am on November 11th – the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, which also has significance with Veterans Day. Mrs. Scown has worked hard to dedicate an appropriate space for these pictures that can and will be seen by students, staff and the community. The Hall is located between the auxiliary and competition gyms.
