News & Info You Need To Know - Dec. 15 2015
Happy Merry Everything!
We hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and restful safe two weeks off to be with friends and family. We appreciate you all so very much and look forward to working with you again in 2016!!
Badge Pinning Ceremony for Recently Promoted Officers
This past Friday we honored three recently promoted officers with a ceremonial badge pinning attended by friends, family and coworkers. Congrats to Captain Jeff Hinkel, Battalion Chief Jake Leeper and Deputy Chief Cameron Kraemer.
Holiday Lights a success!
Another successful event in the history books. We had just over 1,800 visitors to our event this past Friday and Saturday nights.
Citizen's Fire Academy Starts March 17th
If you have not yet taken our Citizen's Fire Academy I urge you to consider it! This free class meets Thursday evenings March 17-May 5. It provides an insider's view of the Frisco Fire Department -- what we do and why we do it! Attendees get to put on turn out gear, climb the ladder and ride along on real emergency calls- just to name a few of the exciting activities. Ask for an application at Safety Town or download a copy online: www.FriscoFire.com. Also, bring a friend or relative if you think this may interest them. Class size is limited so secure your spot today.
Open Volunteer Positions for 2016
As we move into a new year, we would love to have some new members join our team at Safety Town. If you know of someone who may be interested in a weekday Helping Hand volunteer position, we do currently have three open greeter shifts and we can always add an extra class assistant on days with only one volunteer. Please pass along my contact information to anyone you know who may be interested.
