Phoenix Digital Academy
Community Newsletter for Week of January 30-February 3
A Message from Principal Georgia
We have already reached Week 4 of Quarter 3! Progress Period 7 grades and comments were posted on Friday, January 27 and can be accessed by students via StudentVUE and parents via ParentVUE. Parents, if you need support setting-up or accessing your ParentVUE account, please contact us via Remind, by phone at 602-764-0860, or by e-mail at digitalacademy@phoenixunion.org
This week, administrators reached out via Microsoft Teams to any student at risk of being dropped for non-attendance. Please remember that any time your student spends engaged in Canvas (or any schoolwork outside of Edgenuity) must be logged in the StudentVUE Time Tracker by your student and approved and submitted by you in the ParentVUE Time Tracker.
- Students can access the Time Tracker via StudentVue. Click here to learn how to learn how students can track their engagement time in four (4) easy steps.
- Parents must approve any time recorded by students in ParentVue for the time to be recognized as attendance. Click here to learn how to approve the time recorded by your student.

T-Mobile Hostpot Update
According to the Technology Support Director, there is no plan for T-Mobile hotspots issued by PXU to be reactivated. Unfortunately, the funding source for the hotspots no longer exists. I am so sorry to deliver this news. We will continue to work with district to determine if alternate sources of funding are available.
In the meantime, here are several resources you might explore for WiFi access:
- Project 10Million: Your parent or guardian can apply for a hotspot on your behalf. https://www.t-mobile.com/business/education/project-10-million
- Affordable Connectivity Program: Apply to receive up to $30 off your monthly internet bill. https://www.whitehouse.gov/getinternet. Note: You will need a letter certifying the eligibility of your student for the Free & Reduced Lunch Program. We can provide this if your student qualifies; contact us for more information.
You can borrow a hotspot from any Phoenix Public Library! A parent or guardian will need to accompany the student to check out the device. You will also need a library card to check out a hotspot, but you can apply for one when you go in. For more information, check out this website: https://www.phoenixpubliclibrary.org/services/computers-internet/hotspot-lending-program. Hotspots may be borrowed for up to four (4) months, at which time you can check out another device, if necessary.
