What is Aerospace Engineering?

Aerospace engineering is the field of engineering where engineers are tasked with designing, testing, and manufacturing aircraft and spacecraft. As an aerospace engineer you will also investigate air related disasters such as plane crashes and determine what happened and what can be done to prevent this from happening in the future.

Typical Salary

The average salary of an aerospace engineer can make anywhere from $67,000-$155,00 annually. The majority of aerospace engineers make around 105,000 per year.

What is required to become a aerospace engineer

A beginning level aerospace engineer must have at least a bachelors in aerospace engineering. It is also very beneficial if one has a bachelors in some of the following: physics, chemistry, geology, meteorology, and mathematics.

Why I want to be an aerospace engineer

I have always been interested in air and space flight. As a kid I would draw what I thought space ships would look like in the future. Air and space craft are fun to design to me and I love to draw them and think about how they work.
