🙌Shout out to Shop on State🙌
Mrs. K's 6th Grade STEM class went to 4th grade class to showcase their Scratch Projects!

ICE HOUSE ENTREPRENEUR CLASS
Development and implementation of all these characteristics will help students to live a life of purpose and fulfillment. We also have 7-8 speakers (entrepreneurs) that discuss how these characteristics propelled them to where they are today in their life. Students in this class work on a community & school "betterment" project. That project can be individual, partner, or small group that they choose along with planning, researching, and possibly moving forward with implementation dependent on what the project entails or requires. In essence, this class propels students into forward thinking while living in the present and learning from the past.

Technical Math Class Scale Painting Project
Technical Math students applied project-based learning with scale painting of a classroom wall. Mrs. Cother had students research a design. Step two was creating a scale drawing of the design on paper. Then they measured the wall and determined a scale factor. After they determined the scale they used the factor to multiply their dimensions on paper to get the dimensions needed on the wall. Completed measurements allowed them to start measuring the wall and marking off with pencil where they needed to make connecting lines. After drawing the lines to determine the shapes, they taped off the shapes and started painting.
The project resulted in a new abstract painted wall in Mrs. Cother's classroom that showcases design, measurement, scale and dimension.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
