2021-2022 Calendar Survey
The district is in the process of developing the 2021-2022 school year calendar. Three options are being considered by the Board of Education. A survey has been developed in order for staff, families and community to help inform the Board’s final decision.
Please visit the CCPS website’s calendar page for more information about calendar development, and to view the three options being considered. (A comparison chart of the three options is provided, followed by the draft calendars.)
Once the calendar options have been viewed and considered, please take the survey to provide feedback.
Week of January 18 Senior Spotlight
This is a short week! Use Monday to get caught up on work if needed. Graduation is on the horizon and earning credits is the ticket to get there on June 4! Please reach out to any of your teachers, Mr. Sousa or me if you need help of any kind.
SENIOR SUPERLATIVES AND YEARBOOK QUOTE
You will be receiving an email soon regarding superlatives. This is where you vote for “Best Smile”, “Most Likely to…” and things like that. Please respond so your vote is counted! You will also have the opportunity to send in a senior bio to be printed by your photo in the yearbook. While this is not mandatory, it is a nice addition to your photo and something to look back on in future years. Stay tuned for these emails!!
SENIOR T-SHIRTS
Senior t-shirts will be available for pick up at the school on January 25-26. Mr. Sousa and Mrs. France will be available until 6pm both of those days. Please contact one of us if those days do not suit your schedule.
CAP AND GOWN ORDERS
All students and families who have yet to order have been contacted via email. The price of the cap and gown unit has now increased to $58.25 (tax included). I will still send reminders, as all orders need to be finalized by April 1, 2021.
Four ways to order:
www.jostens.com - pay with credit card (in full or 3 equal payments)
Call 800.JOSTENS (567-8367) - pay with a credit card in part or in full
Mail order form to Jostens - pay by check, money order, credit card; can order now and pay later
Send Mrs. France (france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org) the height and weight of your senior. She will place the order. THIS IS FOR CAP AND GOWN ONLY. Payment can be made at a later date.
SENIOR CLASS DUES
Information about senior class dues will be coming soon. Remember, if you paid dues last year as a junior, we are counting that for your senior dues as well (since we did not use any of that money last year). If you sold enough through fundraising, you may owe nothing. Stay tuned for more details about this. Dues help pay for graduation/senior year related expenses and activities.
GRADUATION
Graduation is still scheduled for June 4th. As conditions and restrictions change, more information about this will be shared.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of the advisors (sousa.michael@ccpsstaff.org and france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org). We may not have all the answers right now, but we are working hard to make this a successful senior year for all!!!
