COMCAST Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program
DEADLINE: Friday, December 7th, 2018
Amount: $2,500
CRITERIA:
- Have a demonstrated commitment to community service, outstanding qualities in character, integrity and leadership
- Be enrolled as a high school senior
- Reside in a community served by Comcast.
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university in the United States for the entire 2019-2020 academic year
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
- Demonstrate financial need
Marywood University: The Cloverfields Scholars Program
Deadline: JANUARY 1, 2019 for full consideration
WHO: First generation college students who plan on attending Marywood University and FULL TIME undergraduate students.
*This scholarship is renewable for a total of 4 years as long as the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA. Recipient must also submit an annual progress report on specified accomplishments and experiences.
CRITERIA:
- SAT score of 1040 or above
- Completed FAFSA
- First-generation college student.
- High school GPA of 3.4 or higher
- Legal resident of a county in NEPA
- Completed application form
- 300-500 word personal statement on your college goals
- Letter of recommendation from a non-family member (Letter of recommendation that was submitted with Marywood application will count for this. If you want to, you can include another letter with this scholarship application).

Penn East Federal Credit Union Scholarship
Amount: $2,500
WHO: Students whose parents or guardians are members of Penn East Federal Credit Union. Student may apply for Penn East FCU membership and then become eligible for this scholarship. All accounts must be active and in good standing. Children of Penn East FCU Officials are NOT eligible for this scholarship.
CRITERIA:
- High school senior who will enroll in a full-time undergraduate program during the 2019-2020 year at a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university or a vocational/technical school in the United States.
HOW RECIPIENTS ARE SELECTED:
- Academic Excellence
- Citizenship
- Community and School Involvement
- Be a member of Penn East FCU or the child of a member.
HOW YOU CAN APPLY:
- Submit completed application (attached below)
- Submit HS transcript
- Submit 3 letters of recommendation

Roy W. Piper Charitable Trust Scholarship

The Roy W. Piper Charitable Trust, Tunkhannock, announces the availability of annually renewable scholarships, beginning academic year 2019-2020. Fully completed applications will be accepted from high school seniors or those students already attending an accredited higher education institution. Principle preference will be given to Wyoming, Lackawanna and Luzerne County students. Scholarships are awarded based upon a combination of financial need, academic merit and community service/extra-curricular activities, and are for the use of education at an accredited higher education institution.
Roy W. Piper Charitable Trust Career Technology Educational Scholarship:
The Roy W. Piper Charitable Trust, Tunkhannock, Pa. in addition to the Trust's annually renewable academic scholarship, a 2 year or less Career Technology Scholarship Program for students wishing to earn an Associates Degree, an Accredited Certificate or to receive license preparation.
This scholarship is meant to help students that want to enter various fields such as but not limited to: Accounting, Automotive, Business/IT, Computer Sciences, Cosmetology, Culinary, Health Sciences, Skilled Trades, Truck Driving, etc. Principal preference will be given to Wyoming, Lackawanna and Luzerne County students.
Scholarships are based upon a combination of financial need, academic merit, and community service/extra-curricular activities, and are to be used for education at an accredited post secondary education institution.
Roy W. Piper Charitable Trust Military-Related Scholarship:
Student is attending a military related college. Additional information can be found in the application packet.
