We're Halfway There!

Welcome to the Second Semester!

“Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It’s the courage to continue that counts.”
— Winston Churchill

As we begin the second semester, I encourage you to talk to your student about the fresh start this semester offers. It can be a time to reflect on the successes of the first half of the school year; it can also be a time to put a plan in motion to improve upon the things that did not go well. As always, we are here to help students be successful, resilient young adults.

Scheduling For 9th Grade

In February, we will begin the process of scheduling our 8th graders into high school. Parents/Guardians will be invited to an informational meeting in the high school to learn more about the process, the options our students are given, and requirements for graduation. It is an exciting time for students and I encourage you to take an active role as we begin this transition. Students should be establishing strong study habits as they prepare to enter high school. These include, but are not limited to: using an agenda to keep track of assignments, consistent completion of homework, making up work when they are absent, and staying 9th period for extra help and/or test review. In order to be successful, students need to be responsible for their future, and that starts today. The High School will be posting their 2023-24 Course Guide soon (under the "For Students" tab on the High School webpage), so keep an eye out for that.
