The Titanic
The Titanic was a failed attempt at making the longest, fastest, and heaviest ship in the world. The tragedy was all over the news and families of passengers were devastated. It was never confirmed to have been snapped in half or to have sunk in one piece until explorers adventured out to find it broken in two with many bodies buried at sea.

Interesting facts
The Titanic was a Royal Mail Ship (R.M.S) and ran for the White Star Line, whose rival was the Cunard Line. It wasn't claimed to be unsinkable, just virtually unsinkable, because it had fifteen watertight bulkheads. The, very large bronze propellers sent the Titanic along the ocean faster than any other ship in the line. Just the anchor weighed 15.75 Tons!
