Prestwick LEarns: What to expect at Curriculum Night for grades K-5?
Curriculum Night is a designed time for each teacher to share some great information with parents. We rotate grade levels for presentation space as well as to allow parents with multiple students opportunities to hear the information. Please see times listed above. Students may attend but are not required to attend. If they do attend they will need to sit in the session and be supervised by parents for their safety.
This year we will focus will be on providing parents with the following:
- Instructional overview for the grade level and content
- Instructional methods used
- Tools such as learning management systems teachers plan on using
- Academic and Behavioral Expectations
- Ways we can come together to support students to be most successful
Bring questions you have and be ready to get some great information that allow you to maximize this year for your student. We thank you as always for your constant support! We also welcome your feedback on the event and it meeting your needs. Feel free to share this with your child's teacher(s) and/or our leadership team.

Staff Spotlight
This week our spotlight in on one of our new amazing 5th grade leaders, Mrs. Wright. Here is this lobo leader has to say about herself:
Hello everyone!
I am Mrs. Wright and I teach 5th grade math and science. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University. I am so thrilled to be a part of Prestwick! 5th grade is my favorite grade to teach and I absolutely love the curriculum, activities, and students!
I love to hang out with my family, play sand volleyball, and go to concerts with my husband. We have a cute puppy, Cub, who is an adorable mini goldendoodle. I love to travel and see new places, go to the movies, and exercise. I feel so happy and extremely lucky to have the opportunity to be a teacher and to be a part of this famiLE!

Roc The Doc Race
On Saturday, September 14th Clement Barbier participated in the Roc The Doc 5K run with his mom and Coach Luna in an effort to support the community Little Elm Food bank, and promote a healthy lifestyle. He won 3rd place in his age group for the 5k. Congratulations Clement and thank-you for supporting the community!
In effort to support the surrounding communities and healthy lifestyles, Coach Luna is challenging families and students to continue this as a new tradition at STEM. The next 5K Event is in The Colony. It is The Tribute Trail 5K and we would love a big turn out for our school.
