Winters Wonderings
Week of September 24-28, 2018
The Week in Review...
- Had our first 7 Mindsets lesson introducing us to "What is a Mindset" and we answered the question "How am I Incredible?" We have some pretty incredible kids!
- Learned about fluency in reading. Not reading too fast or too slow. Reading with expression and not word by word. We will work on this a lot in second grade.
- Started our first math unit: Shapes and their Attributes.
- Finished up our introductory Science Unit: What is Science & the Scientific Method with the experiment The Great Cookie Dunk!
- Were introduced to Seesaw on the iPads. We will have the opportunity to post to Seesaw often to share with our families our learning and see our growth throughout the year.
- Are also working on our handwriting letter and number formation so we can be sure to produce quality work we are proud of!
- Had our first Giant Pride Celebration! We had fun watching our classmates and other students battle against the teachers in a friendly game of dodgeball! What a fun way to celebrate the first month of school and all of the learning we have been doing!
