New Procedures in all settings
At 2:30, we had school wide assembly to discuss the mission and vision of our school and how to communicate when adults greet our students each morning as they enter the school. We discussed the Tiger Traits which are: Students are responsible, respectful, and safe learners in all settings of the school.
During the school year, each staff member has a gold coin. When they see a student exhibiting one of the 7 habits, they will reward the student with a gold coin. This student will be able to purchase a reading book. They will be celebrated on the bulletin board by the Library and recognized at the Leader in Me Assembly.

Principal Justice loves her families and students!
I encourage you to talk to your students about their day and to communicate regularly with their teachers about learning and social-emotional concerns. If you need to discuss anything with me and their teacher, Mrs. Vega will be happy to set up a meeting time.
We strive to meet our 90/90 attendance each month for the District and the state of MO at Thayer!
Students are encouraged to not miss more than 5 days per semester. If you travel out of town, for a week and your child becomes ill for a week, you have already exceeded our attendance policy for your child.
The #1 factor to increase student learning is the teacher in the classroom with the students. Our teachers plan many hand-on activities that cannot be made up with worksheets or book work.
If your child is absent for an appointment, we require a doctor's note to be put on file. Please ensure you send these documents in when your child misses school. Also, calling in absences early to the office is greatly appreciated at (573) 842-2200.
