Highland's Pre-K class, 2 Kindergarten classes, and SPED Class went on a field trip to see Stephen Fite.
One of our speakers at Highland for Black History month was a newly elected member of the SLPSB, Myron Guillory. Thank you, Mr. Myron, for taking the time out to come to talk to Highland's students. It's truly appreciated!

Highland's "Fall in Love with Reading" Night was full of wonderful stories of how each teacher and Ms. LeDoux have fallen in love with reading throughout their life... Thanks so much for every parent that took the time out to share in your child's education... You truly make a difference!
Highland recently participated in and collected canned goods for the Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive. THANKS SO MUCH to everyone that sent canned goods in with your children!

Highland students took part in a Black History Month Art collaboration project during their cultural arts period. Students were each given a piece of the mural to color and all of the pieces fit together to form a beautiful mural. Students are studying these famous African Americans throughout the month in various classes and during our morning synergy assemblies

Mrs. Storey’s 5th grade Science students at Sunset Middle School used estimation and graphing to discover the surprising difference in the amounts of fresh and salt water on Earth.

Sunset Middle School students, Mya H. and Chloe D., won 1st place and the regional Social Studies. Good luck competing at the state level.

Sunset Middle School placed first at the Plaisance tournament on February 2nd.
