PSSA-Success and Celebration
To prepare for the PSSAs, our school is conducting several activities to promote a culture of success and celebration around testing:
1. Conversations and assemblies will provide positive mindset and set test expectations.
2. Students will work together to develop motivational posters for display in testing classrooms.
3. Building-wide celebration is planned for each school that reaches the test participation goal of 95%.
PSSA testing will occur on the dates listed here. To learn more about the PSSA, please join us for a Parent Information webinar with our administration on Tuesday, March 21 at 6:30pm. Click the hyperlinked dates for a direct link to either session. You can also submit your questions here.
Our commitment to the success of your child and all children is our mission. Thank you for your continued support of Methacton Schools.

Healthy Eating Tips
Healthy eating emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, dairy, and protein. Dairy recommendations include low-fat or fat-free milk, lactose-free milk, and fortified soy beverages. Protein recommendations include seafood, lean meats and poultry, eggs, legumes (beans, peas, and lentils), soy products, nuts, and seeds.
Aim for a Variety of Color
Fruits and vegetables like dark, leafy greens, oranges, and tomatoes—are loaded with vitamins, fiber, and minerals.
First graders have been learning about the characteristics of a great friend and also to use “Heart Talk” when someone does something that makes them feel a negative emotion. This would be great for all students to know. They learned to talk it out this way: “I feel _______ when you ______________________.” Learning how to communicate our feelings to someone without yelling or getting angry goes a long way to keeping relationships healthy.
Thank you for all of your support!
