CGES Black Bears Newsletter

Your Journey Starts Here - August 9th

Great First Week!

Dear CGES Family,

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for a great first week of school! Our teachers and students have been working extremely hard to develop the routines and procedures that will help us be successful throughout this school year. I want to especially point out the great work that our PreK and Kindergarten students have put in during these first three half-days.

Please consider joining the CGES PTO if you have not already. This parent driven organization does an incredible amount of work through service and funding for all of our students. Please stop by the PTO table in our front lobby for more information. Be on the lookout for information about the upcoming PTO cookie dough fundraiser. I encourage everyone to participate and do all that they can to help us raise funds through this event.

Go Black Bears!

Meet the Black Bears!

Austin High School will hold the annual "Meet the Black Bears" on Friday, August 16th at the football stadium. This event will include football scrimmages, cheer routines, and the introduction of the football, cheerleading, band, dance, volleyball, and cross country teams. This is a great opportunity to show our young Black Bears some of the exciting things waiting for them in the future. #feederpattern

4th-5th Grade received their chromebooks on Friday. Thank you Mrs. Rodgers for all of your hard work organizing this endeavor. Please help CGES teach our students how to properly care for and use their technology.
