WMS July Update
If you build it, they will come.
The amount of work done to complete this building is astronomical when I think that just a year ago, we hung the last steel beam back by the AVID room.
Weekly construction meetings in July and August.
Instruments ordered in September.
Furniture ordered in October.
Staffing started in November.
Planning our first staffulty meeting in December.
Registration and scheduling in January.
First staffulty meeting in February.
Interviews in March.
Student group tryouts in April.
Deliveries in May and June.
Furniture delivered in July.
In August, we will get to officially move in and make this place our home. Until then, I hope you are dreaming about the scholars we will get to teach and learning that will happen within the walls of our building. I am so excited about the possibilities we will create for each other and our school family here. There is something magical about this place...I can just feel it.
Read through this newsletter for important information, continue enjoying the remainder of your summer break, and remember...
You belong here.

Talk About It Tuesdays Schedule
We have a total of six sessions over three Tuesdays to talk about different aspects of student procedures and expectations at WMS. You can see what topics will be discussed at each session below. These are all optional activities, but we would like to have as much input as possible from staff as the procedures are crafted. Also, those attending may click on the link to register in Eduphoria for comp time for this upcoming school year.
All sessions will be held at Pecan Trail Intermediate. Bring a device if you have one - we will be playing with Schoology.

Teacher Kid Transportation
Buses can only take students between schools that already have a bus going between those schools. For example, if a WMS teacher has a child at Creek View and she wants them to come to WMS in the afternoon, we have to have a bus that takes students from Creek View home first, and then comes to WMS. Buses will pick up and drop off in the regular bus lane on the Fine Arts/Athletics side of the building. You may submit a request to routing@csisd.org to confirm which elementary/intermediate/high school campuses will have a bus that comes to WMS.
ATPE Campus Rep Needed
