Pink Out Day

The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On October 3rd, Robison, had a Pink Out day to support our very own Kelly Gerletti and her battle with breast cancer.

We are so excited for our upcoming fun run. The Boosterthon Fun Run is not only a fundraiser, but it is also an opportunity for ALL of our students to learn about positive character traits and it gives all students the opportunity to participate in a very FUN run as a grade level. We welcome you to come and cheer on your students, and the PTO is looking for volunteers to help with a few things. Please check out the PTO newsletter above for more details. The schedule for this day is shown below.

For the safety of our students, all guests will be required to have a name tag which requires your license to be scanned. You may fill out the RSVP form (copy below and one was sent home); however, your license must have already been scanned in our system in order to print you a name tag. As long as your license has been scanned prior to Tuesday, October 11, a pre-printed name tag will be ready for you to pick up when you arrive. If you have not had your license scanned, you will need to come into the front office to have it scanned before getting a name tag.

Stanford Harmony

Sanford Harmony is the fastest growing Pre-K-6 grade social emotional learning program in the nation. Sanford Harmony promotes positive peer relations among students through lessons and activities that encourage communication, collaboration, and mutual respect, helping boys and girls learn how to build healthy relationships beginning at childhood.

T. Denny Sanford, one of the country’s most generous philanthropists, is dedicated to making the Sanford Harmony social emotional learning program available to every PreK-6 child nationwide. Through his collaboration with the private, nonprofit San Diego-based National University System, Sanford Harmony is being expanded nationally at no cost to teachers, schools, districts and nonprofit organizations.

Every classroom teacher at Robison, has been provided a Stanford kit to be used in their classroom.

4th Grade Program--Exciting News from Mrs. Gayle, Our Music Teacher

Dear Parents,

Just a quick note to let you know that our fourth graders are preparing for their fourth grade program “Bells, Buckets and More!”.

This program will be on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd . We will have two separate performances.

Group A and C will be at 6:00 p.m. (meet in the music room at 5:45)

Group B and D will be at 7:00 p.m. (meet in the music room at 6:45)

Your child should know his Group letter. Each child needs to wear blue jeans and a Robison shirt. If you do not have a Robison shirt, a solid red, grey or black shirt will be just fine.

I appreciate all your help and support to make this a fun night for our fourth graders. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks again.

Library News

Birthday Book Club

Join our wonderful program where students get to select a brand new book to check out and enjoy with their family. I will place a sticker with your child's name inside the cover to give credit to the birthday friend. Your child will get to bring the book home, and then they will return it to school for others to enjoy. The cost is $15.00 and form of payment is CASH or preferably paying online using SCHOOL CASH. Kids LOVE to pick out their very own book and realize the importance of reading.

Lending-to-Learn (Kajeet)

Students have been given the opportunity to borrow a district-provided Chromebook and/or a Kajeet hotspot (20 available daily). The Kajeet hotspot will allow your student to connect to the Internet from either the district-provided Chromebook or a personally owned device. It’s a filtered Internet service and will monitor and filter your student’s access. Chromebooks and Kajeet hotspots will be checked out from the library each afternoon to students as needed to complete assignments or work on projects. Students return the devices the next morning upon arrival at school. Please have your student pick up a permission slip from Ms. Wolfe : )
