SOCIAL GROUP NEWSLETTER

Vol. 6 - January 27, 2016

What happened at the last S.O.A.R session!

Our group had a great time last week watching movies and making inferences related to reading social cues! Everyone did a great job again of using compensatory strategies (i.e. verbal reminders from friends, high fives instead of hugs, and asking for help in times of emotional dysregulation).

We also enjoyed a game of fooseball afterward that allowed us to work on some of our social skills related to competition and sportsmanship.

I continue to be impressed with our group's ability to use logic as a method of emotional regulation. Overall, I think the group did a really good job of working through some tough concepts and I was very pleased with everyone's progress!

Our Next Session is this Friday January 29, 2016

What's new!
