Principal Update

The Elementary Eagles had a short and wonderful week! I continue to be amazed at how well the kids fall back into routine. Our Eagle expectations are being met daily by the students. Along with this short week comes a busy weekend. I have a few announcements to share this week which are found below:

  • As many of you know, this weekend is the annual Lollipop Parade, recognizing educators with a theme of "work of heart". The faculty and staff here at Jefferson deserve great recognition for all of their outstanding work and commitment to student growth. Your children are each truly blessed with wonderful teachers. Take a moment this weekend and thank them for all that they do. The parade will be starting at 3 p.m. I encourage you all to come be a part of this special community event. More information about the parade is found later in this newsletter.
  • Tonight (Friday) is the battle of the Valley for our varsity football team. Platte Valley will be hosting Nodaway Valley @ Hopkins tonight with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. Come support our Platte Valley team and allow your child to be a part of the special culture.
  • I am excited for all of our 4th-6th grade students who started Academic Team practice this week. I'm certain that these students and coaches will represent our school well.
