You can find lesson plans, "Meet the Author" videos, book guides, name pronunciations, and even book readings by authors. This is a must-have tool for every K-12 Language Arts classroom. Access to this material is provided by ESC11, so all you have to do is login using your school email address. The video below is a brief overview of what you can find on the site.

Cool Tools- GoNoodle

Anybody in need of a Brain Break? No matter what time of the year it is, we all know that there are moments in the classroom where everyone needs a minute or two to decompress. Maybe it's the after-lunch slump and kids need to get up and move around a little to wake up again. Or maybe they're moving around too much and need to calm down! Whatever the case, GoNoodle can help. Choose from track events with Olympic athletes, Zumba Kids, popular YouTube videos, and GoNoodle Games.

Set up a free teacher account and then create your class(es). Choose a Class Champ and you are ready to get started. Select a Brain Break from their library and click play. GoNoodle keeps track of your progress and your Class Champ grows based on the amount of Brain Breaks you complete. The video below will walk you through the process.

GoNoodle is primarily designed for students K-5, but who's to say high school and junior high students don't need to do the ChaCha Slide on occasion?

App Spotlight- PuppetPals

Puppet Pals is a great story telling app that makes a video presentation of your "Puppets" sharing a story, giving directions, or sharing information. Backgrounds can be uploaded from your iPad into the Puppet Pal library to be used as backgrounds. You can also save images as characters with the option to trace people out of a picture to be used as a character. This video shows an image I cut of myself and using it as a puppet.

Think of it as an electronic flannel board with more options!

The Free version has limitations, but is still good. Try it today. Download your copy from the App Store
