The TIGER Times
Together We Will Learn, Excel, and Succeed
September 25th Edition
It’s amazing to see that the end of the September is upon us! I want to thank you all for the support and patience shown these past few weeks. We had successes and some challenges, yet despite all, we continued the work that has to be done to ensure the safety, educational and emotional needs of our students. There are countless people to whom we owe an expression of gratitude!
An expression of special thanks goes to all the grandparents, siblings, parents and family friends for supporting our LES tigers to learn Schoology, navigate schedules and completing asynchronous work.
I have enjoyed visiting students via Google Meets and seeing the great work they are doing with their teachers! Our students continue to amaze me with their perseverance in virtual learning!
Enjoy the long weekend! We will see our tigers on Tuesday!
Together in heart and mind,
Belinda Fockler, Principal
LES IMPORTANT REMINDERS AND UPDATES
FCPS Virtual Learning Feedback Survey:
Virtual learning has been underway for three weeks and Lewistown Elementary wants to hear from families on how it is going. We also want to hear from you on your preference for an instructional model in the event a hybrid learning model occurs.
Please take a few minutes and respond to the following survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Fall20VirtualLearning.
We know that each child's experience with learning is unique. We ask that you complete one survey per child enrolled in FCPS by Friday September 25. Thank you for your time and dedication to FCPS staff and students.
Weapons on School Property:
It is unlawful for students to possess or use any weapon on school property. Students who have or use a weapon on school property will be suspended from school, and the police will be notified of the incident. A weapon is any object designed to harm another physically or an object which is used in a way that can physically harm another. This school is committed to providing each of you with a safe environment, and we will do all we can to carry out that responsibility including, if necessary, conducting searches of student lockers.
