PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Kia ora koutou,
Covid Changes Update
You will all be aware of the changes to the Covid Protection Framework. The good thing is that we can begin to transition back to normality and begin taking part in outdoor sport against other schools. We will look forward to hosting the Western Cross Country next term.
The only regulation that remains within schools is the wearing of face coverings when in doors. This applies to students (Yr 4 and up) and any adult coming into the school buildings.
Please monitor for Symptoms
As a school we have been really lucky so far with not having many cases of Omicron within our classrooms. Please, over the next few weeks monitor your children for symptoms every morning before they come to school and take the appropriate precautionary steps.
Nga mihi,
Simon Bell

CLASSROOM HAPPENINGS.......
ROOM 4 - CAMP TARINGATURA
ROOM 6
This week we have carried on with the 10s, 5s, 2s number work and on Thursday we made butter for writing. The children showed excitement and enthusiasm with this task. They were very surprised at the result. Everyone got at least Tekau 10 shakes. So that means with 20 children more than 200 shakes.
Friday we will carry on with our clock work.
Hope everyone will have a nice weekend.
Minney Hunt
ROOM 3
ROOM 7 - THE TREE HOUSE
Year 8 Technology
The Year 8 students have been coming in everyday after school buzzing with their days at Technology sharing what they have made. It is so good to see them coming to share what they have done with excitement.
I have tasted some really nice lemon loaf, focaccia bread and naan bread. They have made some yummy curry and also a pot holder. We may have some masterchefs in the making.
Some students were making shelves and boxes and they are very proud of themselves and what they have accomplished. I must say that they look really good.
Well done Year 8s.
